History

Trimble Funeral Homes have been serving central Missouri families since 1942. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.

Trimble Funeral Homes started with the 19th century work of Charles P. Heinrichs, a pioneer Jefferson City undertaker, embalmer, and furniture dealer. He was later associated with Sylvester "Bus" Dulle. Mr. Dulle and his wife, Esther, acquired the Heinrichs' funeral assets and in 1942 founded the Dulle Funeral Home, which operated for many decades from the historic Tweedie Mansion at 601 East High Street.

In 1965, their son, Ralph F. Dulle, joined the firm, and, together with his wife, Roseleen, eventually assumed ownership. In 1984, a new funeral home was built at the North Ten Mile Drive location on a four-acre wooded lot. With retirement approaching and wishing to keep the funeral home locally owned, the Dulles transferred ownership and management to Kent W. Trimble and his wife, Christine, on July 1, 1995.

After many years of working with his parents, Kyle Trimble took full ownership of the firm on July 1, 2021. Funeral planning, burial and cremation services are offered today in three locations: Jefferson City, Westphalia, and Russellville.
