Willie Mae Hatton, 89, of Jefferson City, died Monday, October 16, 2017, at Jefferson City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on October 29, 1927, the daughter of the late Thomas Foy Reynolds and Viola Nell Alrid Reynolds. She was married on April 15, 2011, in Holts Summit to Archie L. Hatton who preceded her in death on January 2, 2016. Mrs. Hatton was a cook for forty-five years for Clark Senior Center; Lincoln Lab School; Jefferson City Day Care Center; First Impressions Day Care; Manhattan Cafe; McKinneys; and Roadway Inn. She was a member and "Mother of the Church" of Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church where she was a past president of the Adult Choir, served on the Trustee Board, and was a Pastor's Aide. Survivors include six children, Myvera Westbrook, Delbert Vaughn, Thomas (Debra) Vaughn, and James (Lisa) Smith, all of Jefferson City; Lionel Smith, Kansas City, Mo.; and Venetta Anokam, Beltsville, Maryland; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dianna (Tarus) May, Caruthersville, Mo.; and Johnella Baynham, Kendallville, Ind. She was preceded in death by one son, David Leroy Baynham; one grandson, Ronald Harold Vail, Jr.; two brothers, Tommy Reynolds and Howard Reynolds; one step-brother, Alexander Simpson; and two sisters, Emma Jean McDaniel and Mary Johnson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, Holts Summit, with the Rev. Gordon Coleman officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, October 21st, at the church. Memorials are suggested to Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.
