WILLIAM JOSEPH RUPRECHT

William Joseph Ruprecht, 84, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born on November 29, 1926, in Jefferson City, the son of the late William and Aurelia Peggy Mertz Ruprecht.
He was a graduate of St. Peter High School, Jefferson City Junior College, and St. Louis University with an accounting degree.
He was a United States Navy veteran serving during World War II.
He was united in marriage on May 12, 1951, in Nashville, Il, to Ilene Mae Hoffman who preceded him in death on August 12, 2005.
Mr. Ruprecht was an accountant and owner and operator of the McDonalds in Jefferson City.
He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, and was a long-time board member of the Sheltered Workshop.
Survivors include: five children, Debbie (Larry) Vaughn, Jefferson City; Steve (Lois) Ruprecht, Lohman; David Butch (Trish) Ruprecht, Jefferson City; Mary (Del) Groves, Columbia; Bill Ruprecht (Jay Bosch), Jefferson City; nine grandchildren, Lisa (Chad) Winge, Jen (Chris) Rutan, Andy (Jen) Ruprecht, Joe (Susan) Ruprecht, Bob Ruprecht, Kylie (Josh) Doerhoff, Ryan Ruprecht, Jordan Ruprecht, Nathan Groves; and nine great-grandchildren, Brooke Winge, Beau Winge, Ben Winge, Hudson Rutan, Landon Rutan, Courtney Vaughn, Brody Ruprecht, Alex Kever, Reese Ruprecht.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Ruprecht; and one daughter, Susan Marie Ruprecht.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Benjamin Nwosu officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
