Vincent Richard Sommers

March 2, 1913 — July 5, 2002

He was married on September 1, 1937 in Loose Creek to Mathilda Josephine Haslag who survives at the home. Other survivors include: two sons, Edward C. Sommers, St.Thomas; and Gary W. Sommers, Jefferson City; three daughters, Rose Mary Schaefer, Florissant; Elizabeth A. "Betty" Ginter, Wardsville; and Joanne H. Falter, Westphalia; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Van Loo, Wardsville; and Augusta Rackers, Holt Summit; and a brother, Alfred Sommers, Fulton. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard J. Sommers; a grandson, Jason P. Falter; and a brother, Jerome Sommers. He was employed for many years as a mechanic with U.S. Rents It. He had also worked in carpentry, contracting, sawmill operations, rock and brick laying, amd farm work. He was a member of St. Stanilaus Catholic Church, Wardsville.
