VIRGINIA JEAN WILSON

January 7, 1918 — March 2, 2005

Virginia Jean Wilson, 87, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at St. Joseph Home for the Aged. She was born on Jan. 7, 1918 in Cape Girardeau, MO, the daughter of Leo Albert and Catherine Anastasia Cambron Brennecke. She was married on March 12, 1938 in Jackson, MO to Robert Smith Wilson who died on June 25, 2002. She was a 1935 graduate of Cape Girardeau High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. Mrs. Wilson served as a secretary with the Missouri Secretary of States office; the MO Senate; and the MO Department of Agriculture from which she retired. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Jacquelyn and Donald Farmer, Jefferson City; and Catherine and James Bauer, Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Shawn Farmer; Jill Quick; Jason Bauer; and Bradley Bauer; three great-grandchildren, Max Roberts; Mollie Quick; and Blake Bauer; and one sister, Rosemary Davis, Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by one brother, Leon Brennecke; and one sister, Katherine Kinder. Private funeral services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2005, at St. Joseph Home for the Aged.
