VINCENT LINUS SCHWARTZE

December 7, 1916 — August 26, 2005

Vincent Linus Schwartze, 88, of Jefferson City, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on Dec. 7, 1916 in Vienna, MO, the son of Henry and Helena Dulle Schwartze. He was married on Oct. 16, 1946 in Jefferson City to Anna Marie Swillum who died on July 12, 1995. Mr. Schwartze was employed as an installer and repairman for Capital City Telephone Company and United Telephone Company for over thirty-five years until his retirement in 1982. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Holy Name Society; Helias Knights of Columbus Council 1054; Independent Telephone Pioneer Association; American Association of Retired Persons; Roy Sone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1003; and Roscoe Enloe American Legion Post 5. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jane Marie and Steve Frank, Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Michelle Ann (Scott) Schroer; Sarah Elizabeth Frank; and Scott Christopher Frank; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Marie Schroer; Anna Elizabeth Schroer; and Carie Nicole Schroer. Mr. Schwartze was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Joseph Frank; four sisters, Sr. Latina Schwartze; Gertrude Kuensting; Julietta Wilbers; and Mathilda Schwartze; an infant brother, Isadore Schwartze; and three brothers, Bill, Henry, and Fred Schwartze. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Wilbers and the Rev. Donald W. Lammers officiating. Burial will full military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church, 216 Broadway Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or Helias Foundation, POB 694, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0694.
