VICTOR BRONDEL

Victor Bud Leo Brondel, 83, of St. Martins, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on June 27, 1924, in Jefferson City, the son of Victor William and Hilda Swanson Brondel. He was united in marriage on June 20, 1950, in St. Martins, to Mary Alice Hentges who survives at the home. Mr. Brondel was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Victor was employed with Brondel Handle Factory, International Shoe Company as a machinist, and Von Hoffman Press also as a machinist. Bud was a talented and skillful mechanic. There wasnt a motor he couldnt take down and repair. People came from all over central Missouri for him to repair their lawn mowers and sewing machines. He was deeply loved by his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, American Legion, Mens Sodality, and the Fifty Plus Club. Other survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Larry Hahn, Jefferson City; six sons and their spouses, Larry and Bette Brondel; Jim and Mary Lynn Brondel; Fred and Debbie Brondel; Wayne and LaVerne Brondel; Todd and Rita Brondel, all of Jefferson City; Dale and Maria Brondel, Fulton; fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five sisters, Loretta Schroer; Dorothy Boeckman; Betty Carel; Ruth Boeckman; Annie Wilbers, all of Jefferson City; amd one brother, Julian Brondel. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Clara Brondel; and five brothers, Richard, Jerry, Bob, Kenneth, and Don Brondel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon Friday, March 7, 2008, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial with military honors will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic School, 7206 St. Martins Ave., Jefferson City, MO 65109; or to the St. Martin Catholic Church Capital Campaign, 7148 St. Martins Ave., Jefferson City, MO 65109.
