VERONICA MARIE KEMPKER

August 15, 1924 — July 13, 2007

Veronica Marie Kempker, 82, of Jefferson City, died Friday, July 13, 2007, at the home of her daughter in Freeburg. She was born on Aug. 15, 1924, in Marys Home, MO, the daughter of Anton and Helen Sandbothe Lepper. She was married on Aug. 20, 1946, in Marys Home to Raymond Frederick Kempker who died on May 9, 1986. Mrs. Kempker was employed in earlier years with Obermans and International Shoe Company. She retired in 1991 as a food preparer with the former Still Hospital where she had been employed for twenty years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, Elmer and Helen Kempker; Vincent Kempker, and Jerome Jerry Kempker, all of Jefferson City; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Marie and Richard Lock, Jefferson City; and Margaret Ann and Fred Rehagen, Freeburg, MO; six grandchildren, Steve Kempker, Timothy Lock, James Rehagen, Marcie Struemph, Angie Rehagen, and David Rehagen; and five great-grandchildren, Jared Kempker, Paton Kempker, Connor Rehagen, Paige Rehagen, and Sammy Struemph; one brother, Fred Lepper, Marys Home; one sister and two brothers-in-law, Leona and Charles Eichholz, Westphalia, MO; and Emil Kempker and his wife, Loretta, Overland Park, KS; and two sisters-in-law, Louise Lepper, St. Elizabeth, MO; and Laura Lepper, Holts Summit, MO. She was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Stacie Louise Rehagen; an infant brother, Herbert Lepper; and three brothers, Victor Lepper, Albert Lepper, and Clarence Lepper. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank A. Bussman officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 16th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Community Hospices of America, 2418 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or St. Peter Catholic Church, 216 Broadway, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
