Tamula Sue Baker, 61, of Russellville, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, at St. Mary’s Health Center.
She was born on July 18, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Darrell Lee and Mary Ann (Kanatzar) Butcher.
On March 11, 1998, in Joliet, Illinois, she married Glen Allen Baker, who resides at the home.
Tamula worked for the Cole County Circuit Clerk’s office as a court clerk, and a Notary Public.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society.
She was an excellent cook, loved to travel, and go camping and hiking.
Survivors include her husband, Glen; her mother, Mary Butcher, Fulton; a son, Timothy (Kristina) Lowman, Channahon, Illinois; a step-daughter, Marti (Ryan) Krieger, Lockport, IL; a step-son, Warren Baker, Joliet, IL; six grandchildren, Connor Lowman, Kailey Lowman, Addison Lowman, Ben Baker, Coral Krieger, Avi Krieger, Lily Baker a sister, Cherryll (Phillip) Mann, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and two brothers, Timothy Butcher, Fulton; and Charles (Kathy) Sims, Lees Summit.
She was preceded in death by her father, a sister, Judy Burkhart, and a brother, Darrell Butcher, Jr.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Services will be planned for a later date.
