THOMAS JAMES MUNK

December 28, 1933 — August 12, 2008

Thomas James Munk, 74, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Administration Hospital in Columbia. He was born on December 28, 1933, in Little Falls, NY, the son of George Alexander and Rosemary Peltier Munk, Sr. He was united in marriage on March 9, 1957, in Cedar City, Mo to Nancy Janette Moreland. She preceded him in death on October 3, 1984. Mr. Munk was a self-employed contractor all of his life. Tom was a Unites States Army veteran. Tom was a past member of Cedar City Baptist Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Masonic Lodge, American Legion, and Mid-Mo Old Car Club. He greatly enjoyed and loved his family especially his grandchildren. Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Kirk McHugh, Jefferson City; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kim Munk, Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Kiley McHugh; Courtney McHugh; Jessica Wolken; Lindsey Shepard; and one great-grandson, Trenton Wolken. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a granddaughter, Sarah McHugh; four brothers, Daniel Munk; Charles Munk; Richard Munk; George Munk Jr.; and two sisters, Patricia Eramo; and Georgianna Foley. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2008, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Brother Cellis Crum officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
