THECLA MARGARET BUSCHJOST

Thecla Margaret Buschjost, 87, of Koeltztown, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, in Jefferson City. She was born on September 2, 1921, in Osage County, the daughter of Ferdinand and Margaret Hilke Woehr. She was united in marriage on June 3, 1947, in Koeltztown, to John Bernard Buschjost who preceded her in death on July 10, 1997. A homemaker most of her life, she was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She enjoyed helping others and most importantly spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Martha Buschjost, Koeltztown; James and Brenda Buschjost, Koeltztown, Thomas and Mary Buschjost, Wardsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Bill Zumwalt, Jefferson City; Norma and Luke Volmert, Westphalia; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Dean) Lamb; Brian Volmert; Matthew (Suzanne) Buschjost; Jessica Buschjost; Christopher Buschjost; Hannah Buschjost; Bridgette Buschjost; Garrett Buschjost; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown, with the Rev. Msgr. Marion J. Makarewicz. Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the church with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Masses or charity of the donors choice. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
