Shelly Leah Jackson

Shelly Leah Jackson, 45, of Jefferson City, formerly of Macon, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Oak Tree Villas. She was born December 11, 1970, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence Patrick "Larry" and Darlene Belle "Dolly" (Shears) Jackson. Shelly received her Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Missouri State University in 1993. Shelly worked for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources as an Environmental Engineer. Her work helped to keep the Missouri environment clean. In her spare time, she enjoyed riding her motorcycle, attending her book club, reading, and being in the outdoors. She will be especially remembered by her family and friends for her sarcasm. Survivors include her father, Larry Jackson, Callao, Missouri; two siblings, Benji (Faye) Jackson, San Antonio, TX; Sandy (Mike) Seastron, Haslet, TX; and four nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Jackson, Thomas Jackson, Spencer Seastron, and Jessica Seastron. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolly Jackson. A private family service will be held at a later time.
