Sharon Kay Wolf, 76, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born January 31, 1941, in Neodesha, Kansas, the daughter of the late Steve and Zelda Irene (Sandefur) Smalley. She was a graduate of Neodesha Elementary School and graduated Neodesha High School in 1959; she attended Emporia State College in Emporia, KS studying Theater to become an actress- participated in Summer Stock; she later changed her major to Education. She was united in marriage on May 5, 1962, at First Christian Church in Kansas City, MO to Beverly Joe Wolf who preceded her in death. Following Bev's death she met Donald G. Buchta with whom she spent many happy years together. Sharon worked at Green Lantern in Neodesha, was a TWA flight attendant, a teller at Central Bank, saleswoman at Schell & Ward, taught Chinese cooking classes in the home, provided cooking demonstrations at China Garden and at the International Gourmet and for a local television program, was the Food Service Manager at Simonsen Ninth Grade Center, was the Food Service Director at Southern Boone County, owned Classic Gourmet Dining and In Home Dining, she worked with her daughter in producing Trade Shows in the Jefferson City area, and was a clerk at Jo-Ann's. Sharon had the privilege to be the chef at the Governor's Mansion during the Bond, Ashcroft, and Carnahan administrations. Upon retiring, she volunteered with Dreams to Reality and Capital Region Medical Center. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, cooking, sewing, reading, theater, and attending dances. Survivors include two children, Kevin J. Wolf (Barbara Kanninen), Arlington, VA; Debi (Ted) Neuner, Linn, MO; five grandchildren, Fred Wolf, Markus Wolf, Grant Neuner, Emma Neuner, Leo Neuner; two siblings, Dwayne (Jewel) Smalley, Arvada, CO; Michael (Connie) Smalley, Wichita, KS; her companion Donald G. Buchta, Lohman, MO; and his brother, Roger Buchta, Lohman, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Lois Williams and Jean Lofin. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 23rd, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 24th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Rev. Sarah Kingsbery officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Sedalia. Memorials are suggested to Dreams To Reality, 500 Jefferson Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
