He was born in Meta, MO to Henry George and Rosa Belle Barnhart Isenberg. He was married on April 10, 1948 in Jefferson City to Nadine Mary Oidtman who died on May 1, 1996. Survivors include six sons, Henry L. Isenberg, Auburn, Washington; Samuel James Isenberg, Larry B. Isenberg, both of Jefferson City; Chip M. Isenberg, Henley; Craig J. Isenberg, Ashland; and Jerry S. Isenberg, Wardsville; five daughters, Rose Ann Wellington, Columbia; Mary Bloomer and Kim Schenewerk, both of Holts Summit; Joanie Talbott, Pratt, Kansas; and Angel Eakins, Spokane,MO; thirty grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Verhoff, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Laurie Annette Isenberg. He was employed with Gold Cup Bakery, Von Hoffman Press, and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Holy Name Society; Knights of Columbus; and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693. Memorials are suggested to Helias Foundation or Candlelighters.
