STEWART VINCENT EPPS

August 15, 1957 — September 19, 2010

Stewart Vincent Epps, 53, of Mexico, died Sunday, September 19, 2010, at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Mo.
He was born on August 15, 1957, in Washington, D.C., the son of the late Claude and Eunice Estelle Stewart Epps. He was united in marriage on August 20, 1984, in Jefferson City, to Anita Dorene Cayce who resides at the home. Stewart was a United States Army veteran serving for ten years. Stewart was the Warden of the State Penitentiary for several locations. He attended Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church, and was a member and past Master of Capital City Lodge 9, and a member of the Shriners Allah Temple 9 in Kansas City, Mo. Stewart loved to hunt, fish, golf, listen to music, and tinker with odd jobs around the house.
Other survivors include: two children, Danielle DuHart; Dominic DuHart, both of Jefferson City; eight grandchildren, Dominique DuHart, James DuHart, Ajahne Warner, Ashton York, Jasmine DuHart, Terrance Jackson, Zachary DuHart, Rowan DuHart; two great-grandchildren, Miyea DuHart, Jaeden Conley; two siblings, Bruce Stewart, Florida; Adelaide (Ron) Curney, Washington, D.C.; two sisters-in-law, Renee Kerr, Kansas City, Mo; Yolanda Kerr, Kansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be 12 Noon Friday, September 24, 2010, at Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Margaret Redmond and Rev. Mary Hull-Lovett officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be 11 a.m.-12 Noon Friday at the church.
