Roy Lee Ridenhour, 83, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born on May 30, 1930, in Eugene, Mo., the son of the late Norman Omar and Erma Frances (Williams) Ridenhour.
He was united in marriage on December 27, 1948, in Callaway County to Juanita Ruth Cook who preceded him in death on September 28, 2008.
Roy worked for Ameren U.E. from 1951 until his retirement in 1990.
He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church. Roy enjoyed fishing, attending car shows, camping, and playing blue grass music.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Deborah Kohl, Jefferson City; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary and Deborah Ridenhour, Holts Summit; Steve Ridenhour, Centertown; five grandchildren, Anthony Ridenhour; Mathew Ridenhour; Alecia Mengwasser; Broc Kohl; Kirsten Wilkins; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Cristina Ridenhour; and a grandson, Brian Kohl.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Higbie officiating.
Burial will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
