Roger Conway

Roger Ray Conway, 69, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at his residence. He was born on November 10, 1943, in Gardena, California, the son of the late Raymond Cordell and Mary Nell Hatcher Conway. A 1961 graduate of Pioneer High School in Anaheim, California, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968 from California State University at Long Beach. Mr. Conway was a Senior Computer Programmer Analyst with many companies throughout his Information Technologies career including Household Finance Corporation and Farmer Brothers, Inc., both of Los Angeles, California; Metropolitan Water District of California; Starcrest Products of Perris, California; and most recently, the Missouri Department of Social Services in Jefferson City. He was a member of First Christian Church. Roger was a long-time federally licensed Amateur Radio operator holding call sign KDFAS. He was a member of the Mid-MO Amateur Radio Club; American Radio Relay League; Repeater Users Group; and the R.E.A.C.T. group when he lived in California. He was also active in California disaster relief work with the American Red Cross. Survivors include one sister, Stacia Nussbaum, Park City, Utah; one brother, Philip Cook, Manhattan Beach, California; and his life-long companion and business partner, Tony Pflaum, Jefferson City. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald E. Carter officiating. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
