Richard Craig Conley

Richard Craig Conley, 67, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at Heisinger Bluffs in Jefferson City, Mo. He was born October 16, 1946, in Ancon Balboa in the Panama Canal Zone, son of the late William Cussins Conley and the late Charlotte Katherine Prough Conley. On February 11, 1984, Richard was united in marriage to Laura Lillian Whitworth Sacco, who survives his passing. In addition to his wife, Richard will be missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Richard Craig Conley II ( Leslie) of Estes Park, Colo.; Lori Conley Jaegers (Chris) of Holts Summit, Mo.; Lynn Sacco of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; and Todd Sacco (Denise)of Eureka, Mo. He was predeceased by Troy Sacco, another son. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Misty Jaegers and Cody Jaegers, Holts Summit, Mo.; Renee Conley and Ian Conley, Estes Park, Colo.; Jada Sacco, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Ellen Sacco, Rebecca Sacco, and Maria Sacco, Eureka, Mo. He will be missed by his brother William C. Conley II, Castle Rock, Colo.; nephew and family; brother-in law and family; cousins; and dear friends. Richard graduated Southeast Missouri University (SEMO), Cape Girardeau, Mo. with a business degree. He retired from the Division of Employment Security after 27 years of employment. Rich was active in Boy Scouts at Trinity Lutheran Church, enjoyed every aspect regarding trains and railroading, bicycling the Katy Trail, and woodworking. He loved genealogy and did extensive research about his family. It was important to him to always "be there for family" whenever needed. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Grace Episcopal Church, 217 Adams St., Jefferson City, Mo. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at Grace Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Boy Scouts of America, Grace Episcopal Church, or Lewy Body Disease Association (LBDA.org). Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
