Raymond Stephen Luebbert, Jr.

Raymond Stephen Luebbert, Jr., 78, of Jefferson City, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on February 3, 1935, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Raymond Bernard and Clara Christine (Finke) Luebbert. He was united in marriage on August 25, 1956, in Loose Creek to Mary Ann Muenks who survives. Mr. Luebbert worked as a union carpenter for several years before working for Ramada Inn as the head of maintenance for 15 years. He then was caretaker for Central Trust Bank at the Lake of the Ozarks from 1978-2000. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2693, and Elks Lodge No. 513. In his spare time, Ray was an avid fisherman an hunter. He was the kind of fisherman who could catch a crappie when everyone else was ready to go home or so cold the line would freeze up in the reel!! His favorite hunting was for pheasants in South Dakota where his children would also make the trek with him. His nickname there was "No Miss Luebbert." Ray was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved to play scratch off tickets. Survivors include: Rodney (Sheila) Luebbert, Friendswood, TX; Glenn (Carla) Luebbert, Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Christopher Luebbert, Christina Luebbert, Shanna Luebbert; one step-grandson, Jeremiah Mallincoat; three step-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, James (Ramona) Luebbert, Jefferson City; and Samuel (Sharon) Luebbert, Camdenton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. David D. Cox officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 2:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Parkinson Association, P.O. Box 8111, St. Louis, Mo 63110.
