RUTH BARBARA HRONICK

Ruth Barbara Hronick, 92, of Jefferson City, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at Golden Living Center. She was born on Aug. 21, 1916, in Rockville Centre, N.Y., the daughter of the late Lawrence Wallace and Lillian Agnes Mahoney Hill. She was married on Feb. 27, 1943, on Long Island, N.Y., to Anthony Louis Hronick who died on June 21, 1985. She received a Master in Physical Education degree from Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Island. Mrs. Hronick taught Physical Education and coached several sports for thirty seven years in Arizona, Alabama, New York, and Florissant, Mo. until her retirement. A member of the Roman Catholic faith, she loved sports and teaching children. Survivors include one daughter, Lauren Osborne, University City, Mo.; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Peggy Hronick, Jefferson City; eight grandchildren, Michael (Kelly) Hronick; Matthew (Elaine) Hronick; Gregory Hronick; Andrew Hronick; Timothy Hronick; Wendy Thompson; Joshua Thompson; and Anthony Thompson; five great-grandsons; two sisters, Helen Carter, Bellmont, Calf.; and Cynthia (Robert) Lambert, Long Island, N.Y.; and one brother, Lawrence (Nancy) Hill, Fort Lauterdale, Fla. She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph with the Rev. Joseph L. Shetler officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Florissant, Mo. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Carmelite Monastery, 2201 W.
