ROSE MARIE HELEN DUDENHOEFFER

May 9, 1931 — December 9, 2007

Rose Marie Helen Dudenhoeffer, 76, Jefferson City, died Sunday, December 9, 2007, at her residence. She was born on May 5, 1931, in Bonnots Mill the daughter of Joseph J. and Opal L. Bonnot Schmid. She was married on September 12, 1953, in Bonnots Mill to Bernard Paul Dudenhoeffer who survives at the home. Mrs. Dudenhoeffer was employed with Employment Security, Missouri Department of Revenue, Kings Food Host, and in her later years Schultes Fresh Food. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Ladies Alter Sodality where she was President and Vice President, Chorale of St. Peter, and Rosary Group of St. Peter. She was a volunteer receptionist for St. Peter and volunteered for Missouri Citizens for Life. She also was the Kings House Retreat Center retreat captain. Rose enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo, traveling with the church groups especially her trip to the Vatican, and singing in the St. Peters Chorale. She especially loved spending time with her family at large family gatherings. Other survivors include: five sons and their spouses, Gerard P. and Patricia Dudenhoeffer; Patrick F. and Perlita S. Dudenhoeffer, all of Holts Summit; Brian R. and Virginia Dudenhoeffer, Hickory Hill; Kurt R. and Caroline Dudenhoeffer, Jefferson City; and Todd J. and Coletta Dudenhoeffer, Springfield, MO; two daughters and their spouses, Mary Sue and James Sennott, Edwardsville, IL.; and Beverly R. and Jeffrey Foley, Lee Summit; twenty-six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight sisters and their husbands, Arbell Vogel; Dorothy and Donald Welch; Emma and Louis Bonnot; Vera and Don Gerling, all of Jefferson City; Irene and Ronald Muenks, St. Martins; Hilda and Leon Eichholz, Wardsville; Ruthie and Albert Miles, Monroe City; and Ann and David Groner, Hermann; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Leonard Schmid, Jefferson City; and Donald and Patricia Schmid, Linn; and numerous in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Stephen Paul Dudenhoeffer; and one grandson, Matthew Shockley. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Donald W. Lammers officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter School, 314 W.
