ROBERT SMITH WILSON

May 22, 1914 — June 25, 2002

He was born in Cape Girardeau to Robert Smith Wilson and Bessie Lea Harper. He was married on March 13, 1938 in Cape Girardeau to Virginia Jean Brennecke who survives at the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Jacquelyn Farmer and Catherine Bauer, both of Jefferson City; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Woodrow Wilson, Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Home for the Aged, 1306 W. Main Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or Man's Best Friend Fund. He was a 1933 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau, and attended Southeast Missouri State College. He was employed for thirty-five years with the Missouri Division of Employment Security where he had served as Assistant Director for seventeen years until his retirement in 1979.
