RAYMOND KERN WEEDEN

November 28, 1950 — March 18, 2002

Raymond Kern Weeden, 81, of Jefferson City, died Monday, March 18, 2002, at Villa Marie Nursing Facility. He was born on November 28, 1920 in Hannibal MO to Colian Taylor and Jewell Finnel Weeden. He was married on January 21, 1947 to Beatrice Lynn Peters who survives at the home. Other survivors include one daughter, Diana Eichholz, Jefferson City; two grandsons; and one great grandson. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Shelbina Cemetery, Shelbina MO, with the Rev. Virgil Clow officiating. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donors choice. He retired on January 1, 1983 as a security officer with the rank of "Major" from the Missouri Department of Corrections Renz Farm Correctional Facility. He was a 1938 graduate of Clarence Missouri High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Jefferson City; Fraternal Order of Eagles, Jefferson City; Jefferson Lodge No. 43, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, Jefferson City; Victoria Chapter No. 14, Order of Eastern Star.
