RANDY LEN MEHRLE

June 25, 1955 — October 5, 2012

Randy Len Mehrle, 57, of Jefferson City, died Friday, October 5, 2012, at Landmark Hospital in Columbia.
He was born on June 25, 1955, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the son of John Frederick, Jr., and Wanda Jean Nina Mae Smith Mehrle who survive in Cape Girardeau.
He was married on October 6, 1979, in Cape Girardeau to Donna Joann Dickerson who survives at the home.
Mr. Mehrle was a 1973 graduate of Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, and a 1979 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.
He retired in 2008 as a computer science expert with the Jefferson City Public School System where he had been employed for twenty-nine years.
He was an active member of First United Methodist Church, its Joy Bell Choir, television ministry, and audio-visual services. He enjoyed boating, camping, and the Joy Small Community.
Other survivors include one son, Andrew Mehrle, Jefferson City; one sister, Jennifer (Bart) Byrum, Jackson, Mo.; one niece, Samantha (Scott) Locke, Colorado Springs, Colo.; four nephews, Jesse Dickerson, Springfield, Mo.; and Landon Byrum, Trenton Byrum, and Mason Byrum, all of Jackson, Mo.; his mother-in-law, Hazel Dickerson, Butler, Mo.; and two brothers-in-law, Paul (Susie) Dickerson, Springfield, Mo.; and Dennis Dickerson and his friend, Jackie, Butler, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Donald C. Dickerson.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Daniel P. Hilty officiating.
Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 9th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
