She was born in Hayden to John Franklin and Edna Cordelia Miller Parker. She was married in 1933 in Missouri to Herman Kolb. She was married on October 20, 1946 in St. Charles to James Russell Martin who died on August 5, 2002. Survivors include one son, Gary D. Kolb, San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Deborah K. Martin and Sheila L. Martin, both of Jefferson City; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Parker Freese, Peoria, Illinois. She was a member of Kenner Church of God in Hayden; First Church of God, Jefferson City; and attended First United Methodist Church, Jefferson City. Memorials are suggested to Kenner Community Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, c/o Nadine Asmus, 14901 Carthage Road, Dixon, MO 65459; or First United Methodist Church, 201 Monroe Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. She was employed with Nesco Food Service, Granite City, Illinois; American Steel, Granite City, where she was an x-ray technician for tank turrets during World War II; and Carter Carburetor, St. Louis.
