Pauline Lucy Distler, 83, of Centertown, Missouri, died Thursday, February 5, 2015, at the home of her sister.
She was born on December 5, 1931, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Joseph Anthony Distler and Cecilia Cortvrient Distler.
She was a 1949 graduate of St. Peter High School and a 1964 graduate of Lincoln University.
Miss Distler was employed with Southwestern Telephone Company; served with the Peace Corps in West Africa for twenty-eight months from 1963 to 1966; and was a teacher at Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Jefferson City from 1969 to 1997.
She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church where she taught Parish School of Religion and provided after-school Care. She was an avid gardener.
Survivors include three siblings, Dolores (Leroy) Knernschield, Centertown, Missouri; Robert Distler, El Paso, Texas; and Leroy (Eva) Distler, Jefferson City; one brother-in-law, Edward Klein, Ventura, California; one sister-in-law, Mary Distler, Jefferson City; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Agnes Klein; one brother, Louis Distler; and one sister-in-law, Erna Distler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon on Monday, February 9, 2015, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 2 p.m.
