Patrick Norman Boyle

Patrick Norman Boyle, 80, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born June 1, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of the late Norman Walter and Sophia Catherine (Merkt) Boyle.

He was a graduate of Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Avila University in Kansas City, and had worked towards his Masters degree at Avila University.

Patrick served in the United States Army.

He was united in marriage on November 19, 1960, in Chatham, New Jersey, to Virginia Mary “Ginnie” Dykstra who survives.

Patrick was the regional sales manager for Stanley Works in New Britain, Connecticut.

He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph. He was also very active with the Knights of Columbus in his earlier years. Patrick held a private pilot’s license, and loved traveling abroad with his wife, spending time at the lake, and looking at antique cars. He also enjoyed collecting antique pocket watches and Aladdin lamps. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Ginnie Boyle, Jefferson City; three children, Mike (Bobbi) Boyle, Phoenix, AZ; Jon (Susan) Boyle, St. Louis; Gail (Ross) Strope, Jefferson City; eleven grandchildren, Marcus (Crystal) Boyle, Joshua (Melissa) Boyle, Caitlin (Jon) Kilber, Jacob (Danielle) Boyle, Ashley Boyle, Rachel Boyle, Skyler Boyle, Kelsie Strope, Allison Strope, Camryn Strope, Nate Strope; five great-grandchildren, Noah Boyle, Marshall Boyle, Lucas Boyle, Kinsley Kilber, Hailey Boyle; and one sister, Judith (Paul) Iseman of Wichita, KS and her family.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 p.m. Friday at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Louis Nelen officiating. Military honors will follow the service.

The general public is welcome to attend services while following social distancing guidelines. Facial coverings are required while in attendance.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
