Patrice Ann Donehue, 83, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017, at Oak Tree Villas. She was born May 5, 1934, in Boonville, Missouri, the daughter of the late William and Mildred (Higgerson) Short. She was married on August 12, 1977, in Rolla, Missouri, to Donald Eugene Donehue, who survives at the home. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph. She served as State Chair of AARP Advocacy Committee; Central Missouri Area Agency on Aging (CMAAA) Board of Directors; Silver Hair League, Vice-President of the Board of Directors; and she volunteered every week for the Cole County Senior Nutrition Center. She was very proud to receive the Lt. Governors Senior Service Award in 2011. For thirty years, Patrice served in supervisory positions, including being the County Director of the Missouri Division of Family Services, retiring in 1994. Other survivors include one sister, Mary Sue Vinyard, Boonville and two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Jessie May Short and Emadelle Short; and two brothers, William Short and Robert Short. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Joshua Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to SSM St. Marys Hospice, 2502 Mission Drive, Suite 320, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or to Cole County Senior Nutrition Center, 1310 Linden Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
