Phillip Nelson Clark, 83, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Audrain Medical Center.
He was born on October 4, 1928, in Bogue, Kansas, the son of the late Charles Nelson and Maude Ethel Searl Clark.
Phillip was a 1946 graduate of St. John Military School in Salina, Ks, and attended Kansas State University.
He was united in marriage on December 26, 1948, in Stover, Mo, to Elizabeth Ann Kraxberger who survives at the home.
Phillip was a Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Air Force as a C-124 pilot for 21 years. He served during the Vietnam Era and the Korean War.
Phillip worked for the Hughes Aircraft in Fullerton, Ca., owned and operated Gramco Electronics Shop in Hill City, Ks, and worked on his family farm -Clark Farm- in Bogue, Ks.
Phillip was a board member for the Graham County Hospital in Hill City, Kansas and helped to supervised the addition of a new Emergency Room Department.
He was also a member of the Retired Officers Association and the National Rifle Association.
Other survivors include: three children, Allen (Sandra) Clark, Applegate, Oreg.; Douglas (Debra) Clark, San Diego, Ca.; Pamela (Patrick) Dollard, Cincinnati, Oh.; five grandchildren, Karl (Erika) Dollard, Bradley Dollard, Jeffrey Dollard, Elizabeth Clark, Ian Clark; and one sister, Phyllis Maier, Independence, Mo.
Private family services will be held in Kansas at a later time.
