PAULINE MARGARET BAX

Pauline Margaret Bax, 65, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at University Hospital, Columbia. She was born on December 20, 1938 in Jefferson City, the daughter of Lorence Herman and Clara Anna Mertens Schulte. She was married on October 3, 1959 in Jefferson City to Elmer Adolph Bax who survives at the home. Other survivors include two sons and their wives, Doug and Kimie Bax, Jefferson City; Bruce and Ann Bax, Jefferson City; one daughter and her husband, Christy and Spencer Allen, Jefferson City; eight grandchildren, Trenton Bax, David Bax, Taylor Bax, Ryan Bax, Haley Bax, Adam Bax, Nathan Bax, and Paige Allen; three brothers, George Schulte, Jefferson City; Edward Schulte, Folk; and Richard Schulte, Jefferson City; and one sister, Dorothy Doerhoff, Henley. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2004, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald W. Lammers and the Rev. James M. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Building Fund, 216 Broadway, Jefferson City, MO 65101; Helias Foundation, POB 694, Jefferson City, MO 65102; Vitae Caring Foundation, 1731 Southridge Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or Masses. A 1956 graduate of St. Peter High School, Mrs. Bax was employed for forty years with Exchange National Bank where she had served as a vice-president and had managed Southside Exchange Bank for ten years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Vitae Caring Foundation; Ladies Sodality; St. Gerard Card Club; Perpetual Adoration; and was a past president of Southside Business Association. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sports and other activities, and attending Mass at St. Peter Church.
