Norbert John Plassmeyer

Norbert John Plassmeyer, 82, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Jefferson City Manor Care. He was born on May 6, 1930, in St. Elizabeth, the son of the late Emil and Rose (Lueckenhoff) Plassmeyer. He was united in marriage on September 8, 1951, in St. Elizabeth, to Martha Mary Boeckmann who survives. Norbert worked for over 24 years at Chesebrough Ponds as a compounder. Norbert was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2693. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, traveling, camping, fishing, and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Other survivors include: five children, Larry (Sandy) Plassmeyer, Fairfax, Va.; Jo Ann Plassmeyer-Schulte, Columbia; Virgil (Becky) Plassmeyer, Holts Summit; Alex (Jane) Plassmeyer, Jefferson City; Carol (Mark) Norman, Jefferson City; ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Leo (Sandy) Plassmeyer, St. Elizabeth; and Mary Ann Gentges, Loose Creek. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Plassmeyer; and a brother-In-Law, Phil Gentges. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Dylan Schrader, officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 2400 Bluff Creek Drive, Columbia, Mo 65201.
