Nadine Jurgensmeyer

Nadine Jurgensmeyer, 90, of Jefferson City passed away Friday, March 10, 2017, at Eldon Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born February 28, 1927, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Henry C. and Emma Sophia (Veltrop) Scheppers. She was united in marriage on February 18, 1946, in Jefferson City, Missouri to Anton Otto Jurgensmeyer who preceded her in death on February 19, 1999. A 1946 graduate of St. Peter High School, Nadine was a member of Cathedral of St. Joseph, Meadow Lake Acres Country Club, and Western Catholic Union. Nadine was a homemaker and enjoyed decorating her home and traveling around the world. But most of all, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include three children, Diane (Joe) Meadows; Mark (Diane) Jurgensmeyer; and Paula (Barry) Beach all of Jefferson City; seven granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two sisters-in-law, Rosemary Scheppers, Jefferson City and Olga Juergensmeyer, Florissant, Missouri. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur Scheppers, Omar Scheppers, George Scheppers, and Charles Scheppers; four sisters, Mildred Struttman, Lavinia Coleman, Margaret Ann Kubala, and Madelyn Cherwink; and one brother-in-law, Alphonse Juergensmeyer. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev.
