Norman Joseph Geary, Sr., 91, of Holts Summit, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Ashland Health Care.
He was born on April 25, 1920, in Hurley, Wisconsin, the son of the late Vernard Michael and Margaret Norman Geary.
He was united in marriage on January 2, 1943, in St. Louis, to Florence Ruby Dillingham who preceded him in death on April 23, 2009.
Norman was a United States Army Air Corps veteran serving during World War II in Italy as a supply sergeant and also as a waist gunner on B-24s.
Norman retired from Monsanto Chemical Company, St. Louis, in 1978, after 36 years as a painter.
He enjoyed restoring antique and classic cars, watching baseball, and listening to Big Band music.
Survivors include: two sons, Norman (Annette) Geary, Jr., Ashland; Steven Geary, Holts Summit; four grandchildren, Christine (Edward) Durrill; Charles (Adrienne) Geary; Jason (Nina) Geary; Jess Scaveola; two step-grandchildren, Julie Fortune; Shaun Brice; and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Rev. Francis W. Doyle, officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
