NORBERT HENRY SANNING

Norbert Henry Sanning, 77, of New Bloomfield, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, at Autumn Meadows Nursing Home in Linn. He was born on May 12, 1931, in Marys Home, the son of Vincent Pete and Regina Sophia Gerling Sanning. He was united in marriage on June of 1954, in Fulton to Anna Louise Craighead who preceded him in death on July 27, 1976. He was a United States Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. Norbert was a book binder with Ovid Bell Press Inc. for over twenty-seven years. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Oliver Buehrle Disabled American Veterans Chapter 17, Roscoe Enloe American Legion Post 5, and the Roy Sone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1003. Survivors include: two daughters, Debra Sanning, New Bloomfield; and Mary Sanderson, Dallas, Ga.; one son, Norbert J. Sanning, Mexico, Mo.; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Dorothy and Harry Schanuth, Jefferson City; Johanna Raybourn, Nashville, Tenn.; and Catherine Sanning, Jefferson City; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jerome Sanning, Jefferson City; and Vincent and Sandra Sanning, Osage City. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Bernard Sanning. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
