Mildred Annie Taube

Mildred Annie (Raab) Taube, 92, of Wardsville passed away Friday, March 30, 2018, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born February 25, 1926, in Rich Fountain, MO the daughter of Anton and Catherine Annie (Mengwasser) Raab. Mildred was united in marriage on February 1, 1951, to Joseph Joe William Taube who preceded her in death December 17, 2015. Mildred was a lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area. She worked many years at Tweedie's Shoe Factory until its closure, for a short time at International Shoe Factory and a babysitter for many years including for her grandchildren. They were so blessed to have been in their grandmothers care. Mildred was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mildred and Joe were fortunate to have 64 years of marriage. Mildred devoted her life as a caregiver for her husband in their later years of marriage until his passing. She enjoyed canning and sewing for her families and loved time spent with them and with friends. Mildred looked forward to going to the home place on the farm where she was raised to prepare meals and visit with family. Her survivors include: daughter, Linda Luebbering (Gary); two sons, Joseph Joe A. Taube (John Walker) and Darrell J. Taube (Rebecca Becky); six grandchildren, Cassidy Luebbering (Gina), Chad Luebbering, Cody Luebbering (Terra), Tabatha Taube (Darin Crocker), Candice Taube (Christopher Wadley), and Kaitlin Taube; ten great-grandchildren, Chase Luebbering, Grace Luebbering, Jude Luebbering, Payton Taube, Colten Koenigsfeld, Liam Crocker, Kinsley Crocker, Jaelynn Hile, Kalon Wadley and Ellie Wadley; four sisters, Loretta Lairmore, Mary Ann Hurst, Leona Martin (Norman), Pauline Stegeman (Edwin Ed); and two brothers, Alfred Raab and James Raab. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, parents and an infant twin daughter, Judy Taube; granddaughter, Millie Marie Luebbering; one sister, Irene Hoffman; brothers-in-law, James Dud Lairmore, Stephen Steve Hoffman, and Charles Junior Hurst. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018, at the Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Jefferson City with a rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville with the Rev. Jeremy A. Secrist officiating. Burial will be in the St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, c/o Honors and Memorials, ALSAC, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mildred & Joe Taube to honor granddaughter Millie Marie Luebbering; or to a charity of the donors choice.
