Michael Andrew Coats

Michael Andrew Coats, 49, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family and his wife holding his hand. He was born October 31, 1965, in Fayette, Missouri. He was a high school graduate of Bradwell Institute of Georgia. Michael was united in marriage on April 17, 1999, in Columbia, Missouri to Sherri Lynn Brown who survives. Michael had worked as a salesman for John Deere in Jefferson City. He later worked and owned MFRS (Asphalt and Repair Maintenance Company). In his free time, Michael loved to watch NASCAR including his favorite drivers Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Cars were his favorite hobby especially Chevy's. He was a big fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. Michael is survived by his wife, Sherri of Jefferson City; and his two children, Tanner Coats of the home; and Hunter Cristine of Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Patricia (Roberts) Coats. Private family services will be held in Georgia. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
