Merry Jo Throneberry, 68, of Holts Summit, died unexpectedly on Monday, October 20, 2014, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She was born on July 20, 1946, in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of the late James Richard and June Ann (Clark) Rudy. She received an Associate's Degree in Computer Science from Longview College in Lee's Summit, Missouri. She was united in marriage on May 17, 1975, in Jefferson City, to Thomas Joe Throneberry who still survives. Merry Jo worked as a computer specialist for the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development in Kansas City, KS until her retirement in 1999. Merry Jo was a warm and loving person who won the hearts of everyone who knew her. She loved music, art, and computer graphics but above all she loved her grandchildren who knew her as "Nana." In addition to her husband, Thomas, Merry Jo is survived by five children, Monica Morris, Springfield, IL; Conrad Morris, Oak Grave, MO; Sean Throneberry, Holts Summit; Kirsten Throneberry, Seattle, WA; Melissa (Matt) Heet, Jefferson City; one daughter-in-law, Lori Morris, Columbia; 12 grandchildren; and one sister, Laurie Meyer, Lee's Summit. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Cameron Morris; and a brother, Robert Rudy. Services will be held privately with her immediate family at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangement.
