Mary Anne Kolb, 97, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Bluffs.

She was born on January 9, 1923 in Jefferson City, to Gerard Frank and Rose Mary (Castrop) Forck.

Mary Anne was a 1941 graduate of St. Peter High School.

She was married to Charles Joseph Kolb on June 14, 1947 in Jefferson City. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2002.

Mary Anne was a proofreader for Von Hoffmann Press, retiring after twenty years.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; St. Ann’s Sodality; Fatima Chapter of the Immaculata Club; Legion of Mary Auxiliary; Mother Seton’s Widows Group; Parish Prayer Line; a Lady of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem; Daughters of Isabella; Dan C. Coppin Fourth Degree Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus; and a life member of St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary. Mary Anne and her husband, Charles, volunteered at the Samaritan Center and the Meals on Wheels program for many years.

Mary Anne loved watching Cardinals games and knew all about the players especially her favorite “Yadi”, Mizzou sports, Wheel of Fortune, playing card games and board games with family and friends.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her extended family as she grew into the role of being matriarch of the Forck and Kolb families. She was a loving gracious person to everyone she encountered and made all feel comfortable and welcome. Her home was the haven for so many family functions and everyone knew where she hid all her goodies. She loved hosting the Incarnate Word sisters from near and far.

She had unconditional love for all and led a Christian life of service to others as shown by her volunteer activities. Her prayer life was very important to her and she would keep your prayer requests on her list long after they were needed.

Mary Anne and her husband Charles enjoyed traveling and saw all 50 state capitols. They also traveled overseas to the Holy Land, Rome, Ireland, Lourdes and Fatima.

Survivors include, three children, Becky Kennedy, Jefferson City; Bill (Loretta) Kolb, Jefferson City; and Rose Anne (Mike) Schmitz, Holts Summit; seven grandchildren, Tracy Cunningham, Dana (Danny) Schmitz-Mills, Matt (fiancé Kacie Napier) Schmitz, Charles (Jennifer) Kolb, Jim (Liz Martens) Kennedy, Jonathan (Angie) Kolb, Christina (Blake) Brittain; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sr. Rose Mary Forck, CCVI and Sr. Bernadette Forck, CCVI, both of San Antonio; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles J. Kolb, Jr.; son-in-law, Pat Kennedy; siblings, Jerome (Bea) Forck, Sr. Mary Rose Forck, CCVI, Irene Forck, Luke (Lorie) Forck, Mark (Doris) Forck; in-laws, Jim (Betty) Kolb; Cletus (Margaret) Kolb; Paul (Carmen) Kolb; Herb (Mary Anna) Kolb; Grace Mary (Carmine) Vignola; Irma Mae (Paul) Schleer; and Bob (Ann) Kolb.

Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald Antweiler officiating. The service will be live streamed for those who wish to watch from home. The link can be found on Mary Anne’s obituary page under Tribute Wall at www.dulletrimble.com.

The general public is welcome to attend the services while following social distancing guidelines. Facial coverings are required while in attendance.

Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund; Samaritan Center; or to Vitae Foundation.
