Mary Ann Kaiser, 79, of the Lake of the Ozarks, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in Columbia.

She was born May 24, 1939, in Osage Bend, the daughter of the late Leo J. and Regina E. (Bode) Bisges.

She was united in marriage to John Gerald Kaiser in Osage Bend, on June 3, 1961. Gerald preceded her in death on May 2, 2018.

Mary Ann worked at the family’s general store in Osage Bend as a youngster and then worked for the State of Missouri. After her children were born, she worked selling Tupperware which allowed her to stay home with them during the days. Mary Ann eventually worked for Miller Associates in Columbia where she retired as vice president and co-owner.
She was a member of St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church in Osage Bend, St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Columbia.

Mary Ann was actively involved in 4-H as a youth member and then served as an adult leader for many years. She participated in bowling leagues, enjoyed fishing and hunting with Gerald, and spending time with her family and friends. She volunteered with the Fire Flies Auxiliary for the Northwest Fire Protection District of Camden County serving as president, vice president, and treasurer. She was a member of the Elks Lodge, and also served as a volunteer tax preparer for senior citizens through AARP.

Survivors include three daughters, Lynn (Steve) Proctor, Harrisburg; Lisa (Greg) Merideth, O’Fallon; Leigh Ann Cunningham, Columbia; one son, Larry Kaiser, Columbia; six grandchildren, Stefanie (Rustin) Smiley, Mallory (Seth) Clatterbuck, Alex Merideth, Melissa (Justin) Tichy, Aimee Merideth, Christina Cotton; eight great-grandchildren, Rylan Smiley, Rowan Smiley, Rhett Clatterbuck, Beckett Clatterbuck,Jackson Tichy, Charles Tichy, Madelyn Shepherd, Weston Cotton; and three siblings, Leroy (Annie) Bisges, Wardsville; Loretta Fitzpatrick, Jefferson City; and Bernadine (Richard) Klebba, Osage Bend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald; a grandson, Jonathon Cunningham; and an infant sister, Jean Marie Bisges.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Jefferson City with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church in Osage Bend with the Rev. Chris Cordes officiating and Deacon Fred Schmitz assisting.

Burial will be in St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Cemetery.
