Mary Alice Walker

Mary Alice Walker, 72, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at St. Joseph Bluffs. She was born on March 13, 1943, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Francis Joseph and Alice (Favier) Haar. She was married on July 9, 1962, in Fulton, Missouri, to Paul Robert Walker who preceded her in death on January 29, 2016. Mary spent most of her life as a homemaker. She also operated Walkers' Woodhaven. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, painting, and her dog, Sugar. Survivors include four children, Gary (Pamela Bates) Walker, Shreveport, Louisiana; Paula Sue (Tracy) Scott, St. Charles, Missouri; Scott (Heather) Walker, Barnett, Missouri; and Darrell (Jennifer) Walker, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Branden Walker; two sisters, Betty Daniels and Ann Haar; and one brother, Robert Haar. Services will be held at a later date.
