Marjorie Theresa Kiesling, 63, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. She was born January 7, 1954, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Nelson Edward and Elizabeth Catherine (Ruettgers) Kirsch. Marjorie was a 1972 graduate of Fatima High School. She was united in marriage on August 5, 1978, in Loose Creek, to Larry Joseph Kiesling who resides at the home. Retiring in August 2003, Marjorie spent her thirty year career as a secretary for the State of Missouri, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and later with the Disability Determination. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; the Immaculata Club; and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching soap operas, college basketball, especially the MU Tigers, and playing cards. She loved watching her son and also her nieces and nephews play sports. Her family was very special to her. In addition to her husband of 39 years, she is survived by a son, Kevin Michael Kiesling (fianc, Kristin Wesley Matchica), Jefferson City; and two sisters, Betty (Tom) Brandt, Linn, and Janice (Gene) Kliethermes, Bunceton. She was preceded in death by her parents and an uncle, Gerhard Chuckie Ruettgers. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2017, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald J. Antweiler officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
