Marilyn Rose Veit

Marilyn Rose Veit, 60, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, December 14, 2013, at her home. She was born on June 19, 1953, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Roderick Theodore and Rose Elizabeth (Wieberg) Veit. Marilyn graduated from Helias High School in 1971 and worked for Centurylink and its antecedent companies for over 30 years until her retirement in 2011. Marilyn was a very kind, loving, and generous person. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, and just spending time with family and friends. Marilyn will be forever in the hearts of her loved ones and fondly remembered by all. Survivors include her daughter, Candace (Ben) Boatright, Anacortes, Washington; one grandson, Ezekiel Boatright; one sister, Carol (James) Duenow, Wardsville; five brothers, Michael (Linda) Veit, Jefferson City; Dennis (Janet) Veit, Jefferson City; David (Nikki) Veit, Jefferson City; Kenneth (Rebecca) Veit, Osage Bend; and Mark (Tawnya) Veit, Jefferson City; and numerous loved nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Daniel Hilty officiating.
