Marianne Mahon

Marianne Mahon, 80, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on August 13, 1933, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late John Edward and Dorothy Jeanette (Lynch) Wade. She was a 1951 graduate of St. Peter Catholic High School and was a 1980 graduate of the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree. Marianne worked as a Medical Technologist for St. Mary's Hospital until she retired in 1996. She then worked for Immaculate Conception Catholic Church as an Office Administrator until 2013. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, X-Club, and several Bridge Clubs. Marianne was a strong supporter of Birthright. Survivors include: three children, Michele (Michael) Zekas, Florence, NJ; Mark (Mary) Mahon, Stanhope, NJ; Matthew Mahon, Lakeland, Fla.; five grandchildren, Michael Zekas, Steven Mahon, Eric Mahon, Megan Mahon, Ellen Mahon; two siblings, Thomas Wade, Jefferson City; Eileen (Norbert) Plassmeyer, Westphalia; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Evelyn Hegner. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Tony Rinaldo officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1206 East McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Mo; Birthright of Mid-Missouri, 1006 East High Street, Jefferson City, Mo 65101; or to Mass intentions.
