MICHELE ANDREA BERGFELD

October 24, 1952 — November 3, 2005

Michele Andrea Bergfeld, 53, of Centertown, MO, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 24, 1952 in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Edgar and Charlotte Louise Miller Neal. She was married on Dec. 23, 1972 in Clayton, MO to Paul Bradford Bergfeld who survives at the home. Mrs. Bergfeld was a 1970 graduate of McCluer High School, Florissant, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology Magna Cum Laude from the University of Missouri in St. Louis in 1975. She was employed for fifteen years as a Research Technician with Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, and later with the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital and University Hospital and Clinics, both in Columbia, MO. She was a member of Alanon; was a prolific reader; enjoyed motorcycle and horseback riding; was a talented home decorator and artist; and was an avid collector of Native American objects dart. She loved Mother Nature and all of Gods gifts. Most importantly, Michele loved other people. Her many friends over the years knew her to be kind, considerate, and generous. She was an inspiration to many people as she bravely battled thirty years of chronic illness. Michele was a loyal and supportive member of Alanon for over nine years. She also was very supportive of Alcoholics Anonymous and was forever grateful for her husbands sobriety. Other survivors include her father, Charles E. Neal, Raleigh, NC; her mother, Charlotte L. Bergfeld, Florissant, MO; one brother and his wife, Steven and Lilia Neal, Florissant, MO; a brother in law and sister-in-law, Bryan and Carol Willian, Carmel, IN; two nephews, Conner Neal, Florissant, MO; and Craig Willian and his wife, Kelly, Rochester Hills, MI; and one niece, Alexis Neal, Florissant, MO. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109, with Chaplain Peggy Van Gundy officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
