Michael Anthony Schulte, 52, of Holts Summit, Mo., died Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center after a hard fought and courageous battle from kidney disease.
He was born on July 30, 1959, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Anthony Francis Schulte and Rosemary Lorraine Bruemmer Schulte. His mother survives in St. Martins, Mo.
A 1977 graduate of Russellville High School, Michael was employed as a delivery truck driver for N.H. Scheppers Distributing Company for ten years. He had previously been employed with the House of Bargains in Apache Flats and with the Pepsi Company for fourteen years.
A member of St. Peter Catholic Church, he greatly enjoyed gardening, deer hunting, working, barbecuing, helping others, and his blue Chevy truck.
Other survivors include four children, Jared Schulte, Holts Summit; Amber (Kaleb) Smart, Tebbetts; Morgan Schulte, Holts Summit; and Shannan Schulte, Holts Summit; one sister, Jeanette (Jerry) Wilde, Taos; three brothers, Kenny (Lois) Schulte, Springfield, Mo.; Marvin Schulte, Jefferson City; and Jerry (Sheila) Schulte, Taos; his former wife, Shirley Schulte, Holts Summit; a special friend, Cathie Hershey; and her children, Stephanie Hershey, Lauren Hershey, Dana Hershey, Daniel Hershey, all of Jefferson City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2011, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Brendan Doyle officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 15th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
Memorials will be used to educate the children of Michael Schulte, checks made payable to Marvin Schulte or Jeanette Wilde.
