MATILDA BERNADINE MORTEMEYER

Matilda B. Mortemeyer, 86, of Taos, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Westphalia Retirement Center. She was born on May 3, 1921, in Cole County, the daughter of John Bernard and Anna Gesina Heimericks Mortemeyer. Miss Mortemeyer was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos, and the Legion of Mary. She is survived by her twin-sister, Mary W. Renn, Westphalia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Mehmert. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos, with the Rev. J. David Maher officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Taos. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Friday at the church.
