MATHILDA FRANCES KLIETHERMES

October 24, 1916 — December 28, 2006

Mathilda Frances Tillie Kliethermes, 90, of Taos, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Jefferson City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Oct. 24, 1916, in Henley, the daughter of Joseph and Katherine Goeller Holzer. She was married on July 22, 1940, in Jefferson City to Raymond Joseph Kliethermes who died on September 16, 2004. A homemaker, Mrs. Kliethermes worked for many years at St. Marys Health Center and Charles Still Hospital as a nurses aide. In earlier years she worked at Obermans Factory and Veits Motel. Mrs. Kliethermes was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos. She enjoyed quilting, word searches, puzzles, playing cards, and writing poems. She was also fond of the nurses and aides at the nursing home. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Kliethermes, Taos; and Danny and Rita Kliethermes, New Bloomfield; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Audrey and Ralph Dietzel, Pauline and Arthur Gentges, Teresa and Jerry Ferguson, Grace and Jim Harvey, all of Jefferson City; Carol and Mike Sisson, Gravois Mills; and Erma Moskalski, Taos; eight grandchildren, Jerry Jenkins, Joyce Jenkins, Theresa Haake, Matt Ferguson, Cory Kliethermes, Sara Gentges, Brian Gentges, and Curtis Kliethermes; eight great-grandchildren, Josh and Janet Jenkins, Cameron, Bryce, and Zachary Haake, Faith and Kevin Kliethermes, and Delaney Ferguson; one sister, Lucy Luebbering, St. Thomas; and one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Leona Holzer, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Kliethermes; one sister, Lizzie Johns; and three brothers, Benny Holzer, Sylvester Holzer, and Leo Holzer. Funeral and visitation times have been changed from those appearing in Thursdays death notice. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan 2, 2007, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. J. David Maher officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1st, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Jefferson City, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be Tuesday, 9-10 a.m. at the church.
