MARY MARGARET LOEHNER

May 3, 1917 — January 9, 2010

Mary Margaret Loehner, 92, of Koeltztown, Mo., died Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Westphalia Retirement Center.
She was born on May 3, 1917, in Westphalia, Mo., the son of the late Charles P. and Catherine Ann Wansing Henke. She was married on Nov. 5, 1952, in Westphalia to Edward Frank Loehner who died on Dec. 25, 2006. Receiving her education at the Verhoff School in Westphalia, Mrs. Loehner was employed as a nurses aid at St. Marys Hospital in St. Louis during World War II, and later as a telephone operator with the Jefferson City Telephone Co. until 1952. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown; Married Ladies Sodality; and Missouri Farm Bureau. She enjoyed sewing, needlework, and quilting.
Survivors include three sons, Mark (Roxana) Loehner, Koeltztown; Jim (Bev) Loehner, Freeburg; and Tom (Becky) Loehner, Koeltztown; nine grandchildren, Austin Loehner, Andrea Otto, Rachael Bax, Robin Loehner, Katie Loehner, Brittany Loehner, Sarah Loehner, Clinton Loehner, and John Loehner; three great-grandchildren, Carter Otto, Jacob Bax, and Aiden Otto; one sister, Wilma Mengwasser, Jefferson City; and one brother-in-law, Henry Meller, Lohman, Mo. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo Henke and Charles Henke; and two sisters, Rose Meller and Golda Kastrup.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown, with the Rev. Msgr. Marion J. Makarewicz officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, Koeltztown. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
