MARY LOUISE CASTROP

Mary Louise Castrop, 85, of Jefferson City, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mary was born on April 13, 1923, in Westphalia, the daughter of George H. and Regina L. Bode Castrop. A life long resident of central Missouri area, Mary retired from Westinghouse Electric Co. Mary was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She enjoyed being with family and friends, playing cards and was a longtime volunteer at St. Josephs Home for the Aged and St. Peter Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a loving sister and aunt. Survivors include: one sister, Julie Vella, Kansas City; three brothers and their wives, Edward and Barbara Castrop, Oakland, Tenn.; Elmer and Joyce Castrop, Jefferson City; Henry and Betty Castrop, Wardsville; and a loving friend, Dorothy Haller. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Martin G. Castrop and Alfred Castrop; and a sister, Helen G. Stratman. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009 at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert H. Fields officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church, 216 Broadway Street, Jefferson City, Mo 65101; Masses; or to the charity of donors choice.
