MARY ADELINE LUECKENOTTE

October 16, 1916 — February 4, 2005

Mary Adeline Lueckenotte, 88, of St. Martins, died Friday, February 4, 2005, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 16, 1916 in Cole County, the daughter of Herman Gerhart and Catherine Marie Backers Wolken. She was married on Oct. 24, 1945 in Osage Bend to Isidore John Lueckennotte who died on Nov. 27, 2001. She received her education at Osage Bend Parochial School. A homemaker, Mrs. Lueckenotte was employed with Tweedy Shoe Factory in earlier years, and later was a cook at St. Martin Catholic School for many years. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church; Ladies Sodality; Quilting Club; and the Fiftys Plus Club. Survivors include five sons and their wives, Bernard H. Lueckenotte, Jefferson City; Frederick L. and Maxine Lueckenotte, Manchester, MO; Joseph F. and Susie Lueckenotte, St. Martins; William T. and Diana Lueckenotte, Jefferson City; and Stanley J. Lueckenotte, Jefferson City; four daughters and husbands, Joan F. and Bill Whittle, Centertown; Betty H. Farris, Jefferson City; Karen R. Lueckenotte, Jefferson City; and Agnes A. and Kenneth Brenneke, Wentzville, MO; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hilda H. Lueckenotte and Frances M. Bonnot, both of Jefferson City; two brothers-in-law, Thomas L. Lueckenotte, St. Thomas; and Cletus and his wife, Rose, Lueckenotte, Jefferson City; and one sister-in-law, Josephine Wolken, California, MO. She was preceded in death by one son, John Clifford Lueckenotte; four brothers, Otto B., Leo J., John H., and Anton H. Wolken; and one sister, Regina C. Lueckenotte. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at St. Martin Catholic Church with her nephew, the Rev. Daniel I.J. Lueckenotte, and the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Jefferson City, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Cole County Residential Services, 1908 Boggs Creek Road, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
